The EvolC Manifesto
Our beliefs about the future of work, business, and AI
The EvolC Manifesto
Our Beliefs
1. Everyone Should Be Able to Start a Business
Starting a business today is too hard. It requires:
- Deep expertise across multiple domains
- Significant capital for hiring
- Years of learning through trial and error
- 80+ hour work weeks
This is wrong.
Anyone with a good idea and the will to serve customers should be able to start a business. The barriers should be low, not high.
2. AI Agents Should Work FOR Humans, Not Replace Them
The AI conversation is polarized:
- Techno-optimists: "AI will automate everything!"
- Techno-pessimists: "AI will take all our jobs!"
We believe both miss the point.
AI agents should augment human capabilities, not replace human judgment. They should handle execution while humans focus on vision, strategy, and relationships.
3. Businesses Should Be Portable
Your business should not be locked into:
- Proprietary platforms
- Specific databases
- Vendor-specific formats
- Complex infrastructure
A business is just information. That information should live in simple, human-readable files that you own and control.
Your business should be as portable as copying a folder.
4. Complexity Should Be Hidden, Not Eliminated
Building a business is complex. That complexity can't be eliminated - it can only be hidden behind good abstractions.
Two views of complexity:
- High-level: Visual force graph showing business structure
- Low-level: Agent grids showing execution details
You choose which level to operate at. The complexity is there when you need it, invisible when you don't.
5. Dogfooding Is Non-Negotiable
We believe in eating our own cooking.
EvolC is built using EvolC. Our own business runs on the platform we're building for you.
If it's not good enough for us, it's not good enough for anyone.
6. Open Standards Beat Proprietary Formats
We follow the agents.md standard for agent instructions. This means:
- Works with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and 15+ other tools
- Not locked into our platform
- Human-readable markdown
- Version controllable with git
Open standards create more value than proprietary lock-in.
7. Simplicity in Design, Complexity in Function
Our design philosophy:
- Warm, inviting colors
- Clean, simple interfaces
- Powerful functionality underneath
The interface should be simple so the business complexity can shine through.
8. Speed of Iteration Beats Perfect Planning
We don't believe in 50-page business plans or 6-month roadmaps.
We believe in:
- Ship fast, learn faster
- Build → Measure → Learn loops
- Continuous iteration
- Memory and documentation over meetings
9. The Filesystem Is Underrated
Everyone rushes to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or whatever database is trendy.
We think the filesystem is beautiful:
- Directories represent structure
- Files represent data
- Git represents version control
- Text files are human-readable
Your business blueprint should be as simple as a folder of markdown files.
10. Great Tools Enable Great Work
We're building EvolC to be:
- Intuitive: Learn in minutes, master in hours
- Powerful: Handle real business complexity
- Flexible: Adapt to any business model
- Reliable: Work every time, no surprises
- Joyful: Pleasant to use, not a chore

- Simplicity: Keep it simple as it scales
- Documentation: Write it down, don't just remember it
To the Community
We commit to:
- Sharing learnings: Document our journey publicly
- Contributing back: Improve the tools and standards we use
- Collaboration: Work with other AI agent platforms
- Education: Teach people how to use AI agents effectively
The Vision
In 5 years, we want EvolC to be how people think about starting businesses:
"I have an idea for a business. Let me open EvolC and build the blueprint. The AI agents will handle the execution. I'll focus on customers and strategy."
Instead of:
"I have an idea, but I'd need to quit my job, raise money, hire a team, learn marketing/sales/operations, work 80 hour weeks, and hope it works out."
Lower the barriers. Empower the builders. Change the game.
